Search tips:

1. Search for whole words. Let's use the game 'deadlock' as an example. Searching for 'dead' or 'deadloc' will not work. Instead you'll want to use an entire term which is 'deadlock'.
2. Each search word requires minimum of three characters. Searches are based off of a system called FULLTEXT via a MySQL database.
3. Even if you don't find the game you are looking for listed on the game lists, search for it anyway-- our database includes a wide range of alternate names (e.g. US releases often have different titles than UK) which are included in the search. For example, searching for "Four Crystals of Trazere" will bring up Legend, which is the UK name of the game.
4. If one search result exists, you will be redirected to its webpage. Results are typically limited to 20.
5. Since the search engine finds exact matches to what you type, use as few keywords as possible from a game's name to allow for different spellings and typos in your search. Typing "Five Realms" instead of "Challenge of the Five Realms" will yield better results.
6. Avoid using numbers, because some games are listed with roman numerals and not figures, e.g. type "Star Fleet" instead of "Star Fleet 2" because the game might be listed as "Star Fleet II".
7. Be mindful of American English vs. British English spelling. Search for both "color" and "colour," and both "centre" and "center" for example. This is because the name of a game that was released only in Europe would most likely be spelt differently from a U.S.-based game.
8. If you're not sure of what you're looking for, try using the company search if you remember either the developer or the publisher. The company profile page contains a list of all games produced and/or developed by that company that are listed on the site.
9. Since the designer search tries to find exact match(es) to what you type, use either a designer's first name OR last name, but not both, if you are unsure of the designer's full name.
10. Avoid using special characters such as "?," and "?" as much as you can. This is mostly due to possible oversight on our part when we enter designer information (which we are constantly trying to fix, but you never know ;))
